COLORADO ADVENTURE TRIP

Mount Elbert at 14, 458 feet above sea level is highest mountain in Colorado

Regardless being the highest point in Colorado is one of the easiest mountain to climb.

9.8-mile out-and-back trail near Twin Lakes, Colorado. 4458 feet elevation gain. 

Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 7 h 32 min to complete. This is a very popular climb. Great introduction to high altitude Trekking 

 

Mount Bierstadt

One of the closest and most accessible 14ers to Denver, Mount Bierstadt is an extremely popular hike. Even with its approachability, summiting a mountain of this size is no joke, 9 miles round trip and 2600 feet elevation gain.

 

Join us as we tacked these two mountains and explore many Colorado high country sight see sites.

 

TENATIVE ITINERARY 

 

 

DAY 1

Arrive in Denver no later than noon to meet the group, do gear check and drive to the high mountains.

Spending the night in Leadville. 10,200 feet high.

 

DAY 2

Mid-morning start up. Back packing our way to 12000 feet. Just 3 miles into the mountain but spending the night at a high elevation. Slow pace to acclimatize property.

Be ready for an amazing evening in high altitude environment

DAY 3

Alpine summit attempt.

3 to 4 AM start up.

After our summit attempt, we will pick up camp and hike down the mountain.

We will be out of the mountain in the midafternoon.

Easy morning with an afternoon recovery hike

Hiking 2 miles to beautiful Hanging lakes

Alpine start to hike up the summit of Mount Bierstadt
