ALASKA. THE GRAND FRONTIER.
In this trip we will Backpacking in The Kenai Peninsula and kayak in majestic Prince Williams Sound.

ALASKA BACKPACKING
Alaska Backpacking continues to be one of the most incredible experiences 
in the Outdoor world and is one of the best ways to see the unexplored Alaska. Set yourself on a ridge top and survey the remote majesty of Alaska's unclimbed peaks, clear streams, verdant tundra, and cobalt lakes.

Join us for the Alaska backpacking adventure of a lifetime as we explore the Kenai Fjord Peninsula.
ALASKA SEA KAYAKING 4 days and 3 nights kayaking the majestic Prince William Sound. kayak into the remote regions, ice landscapes witness the power of nature forming and reforming giants' glaciers.

TENTATIVE ITINERARY:
BACKPACKING PART OF TRIP!

DAY 1- JULY 20TH
Travelling to Anchorage and check in our hotel. Gear check.
By evening we will explore the city.


DAY 2-JULY 21ST
Travelling to Kenai Peninsula hiking up the Russian river for Bear watching.  Start of backpacking Resurrection pass. 7 miles of hiking along the Temper Rain Forest landscape. First night camping.


DAY 3- JULY 22ND

Backpacking Resurrection pass. 11 miles hike, leaving the Temper Rain Forest and into the Alaska Tundra. Majestic peak and amazing views from top of the pass.

Second night backpacking


DAY 4- JULY 23RD

Backpacking Resurrection pass. 10 miles backpacking along rivers losing elevation to get into beautiful valleys formed by ancient glaciers.

Third night camping.


DAY 5- JULY 24TH
Hiking out the trail. 6 Miles hike out. We will spend some time in the beautiful little town of HOPE before driving to Palmer Alaska. Night at Palmer.


DAY 6-- JULY 25TH
MATAMUSKA GLACIER DAY TRIP. No previous glacier travelling experience need. Midafternoon drive to Whittier. Night in Whittier.


KAYAKING AND HIKING PART OF TRIP!

DAY 7- JULY 26TH
First day Kayaking. Kayak rental from Prince William Kayak center.
10 miles kayak to Decision Point. Camping.


DAY 8 -JULY 27TH
Second day kayaking. Kayaking to Willard Island and from there to Blackstone Glacier. 12 miles. Camping in the Glacier at the Island overlooking the 3 major Glaciers.


DAY 9- JULY 28TH
Third day kayaking. Exploring the Glacier. Camping at Rippon glacier or Lawrence glacier.
Kayaking 11 miles to our camp for tonight.


DAY 10- JULY 29TH
Fourth day kayaking. This is our day out. 9 Miles with the currents and the wind back into Witter. Afternoon drive to Anchorage for our last night in Alaska.


DAY 11- JULY 30TH
Anchorage. Flight returning home.

INCLUDES:
-All ground transportation in Alaska
-All park entry fees, and backcountry permits as well as hiker bus fee.
-4 nights hotel in Anchorage, Seaward and Whittier
-Group camping gear.
--group stove
--stove fluid
--water filters
--GPS and SPOT device
-Kayak rental for Prince Williams sound

DOES NOT INCLUDES:
-Airfare from Charlotte to Anchorage.
-All meals and drinks.
-All personal backpacking gear unless it is listed on the "Winter camping group gear" above.
-Souvenirs.
-Personal Camping gear.
-Trip Insurance
We will be hiking 6 to 10 miles daily on unmarked trails, bear.
canister and spry are mandatory, 4 season tents are a must, mosquitoes.
should not be a major issue in mid late August and temps should be.
expected in the 50's by day and in the 30's by night unless a storm or
other unpredictable weather.


NOTE ON THE ITINERARY: We do our best to follow the schedule listed, the very nature Outdoor activities requires flexibility. This itinerary is subject to change due to inclement weather, unsafe route conditions, and other reasons beyond our control.
