In this Climbers Outing you will practice and learn a great array of climbing skills; From simple beginner gear to setting anchors and protection to more advance moves as well as how to set your own rigs.

 Aswell as discovers some of the best climbing routes in NC.

MEETING AT 8:00 AM Table Rock parking lot

SATURDAY

BEGINNING &INTERMEDIATE CLIMBING

Morning. Jumping into climbing

Learning and reviewing beginners and intermediate climbing techniques. Review and practice of Belaying

 

ANCHOR SETTING

After a mid-day break, we will practice rappelling and Anchor setting on different areas.

We'll have dinner around the campfire and finish the day with some start gazing.

SUNDAY

Sunday morning, we will head up the Upper face of table rock.

 

ADVANCE CLIMBING & PROTECTION PLACEMENT.

8AM- 1PM Honing the skill we need to improve out climbing experience. Learning to set protection on a "Sport" and "Trad" climbing.

 

RAPPELLING TECHNIQUES

2PM to 5:30PM Different skills and techniques to rapel and all situations and environment as well as self rescue and rescue practices.

 

END OF CAMP

CAMPING

-Tent -Sleeping bag -Sleeping pad -Cooking stove and utensils. -Food and water for the weekend. -Head light

ALL CLIMBING GEAR WILL BE PROVIDED NOTE:

 

NOTE:

In you have your own gear we encourage you bring bring it and use it. This way you will get familiar with the gear you will be using on your future outings.

Be sure you pack all you need to eat and drink and to be comfortable for the weekend. Including ant medication and or anti allergies.
